Diverticulosis - a medical imbroglio characterized by pouches in the lining of the colon - is much less chancy than in the past believed, a supplemental study contends Dec 2013. Previous probing concluded that up to one-quarter of people with diverticulosis will develop a stinging and sometimes serious infection called diverticulitis herbalvito.icu. But this unheard of 15-year study shows that the risk is actually only about 1 percent over seven years.

And "These colon pouches are commonly detected during colonoscopy, and patients puzzle if they are vital and what to do with them," said consider senior author Dr Brennan Spiegel, an affiliate professor of medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. "In short, diverticulosis is not something to gall much about. Chances are short that something will happen," Spiegel said in a university bulletin release.
